SPATIAL DIFFERENTIATION OF URBAN ECONOMIC ELASTICITY AND ITS INFLUENCING FACTORS IN NORTHEAST CHINA |

Abstract Urban economic elasticity is the inherent embodiment of sustainable development of urban economy. Northeast China is a concentrated area of resource-exhausted cities. Mineral resources are facing exhaustion and cities are facing transformation pressure. Moreover, the industrial structure is too heavy, the loss of human resources is serious, and the sustainable development of urban economy is facing severe challenges. To carry out the study of urban economic elasticity is conducive to the transformation and development of cities, and is an inevitable prerequisite for the sustainable development of urban economy. The level of urban economic elasticity, its absorptive capacity, recovery capacity and transformation capacity are evaluated by using the method of entropy and multi-index comprehensive evaluation, and the influencing factors of urban economic elasticity are studied by means of grey correlation analysis. It is concluded that the economic structure has the greatest impact on the urban economic elasticity, followed by the economic scale, environmental conditions, human resources and economic density. The economic growth rate and the natural resources condition have less impact on the urban economic elasticity.
